Key responsibilities:
- Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently on scheduled night-time routes
- Follow detailed routing and scheduling to ensure timely parcel delivery and collection between hubs
- Manage loading, securing, and occasional unloading of freight including pallets, cages, and containers
- Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and complete defect reports as required
- Handle shipment paperwork, scan consignments accurately, and maintain communication with dispatch teams
- Adhere to all relevant road safety and company policies to ensure compliance and safety
What we’re looking for:
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar heavy goods driving role
- Ability to work night shifts consistently and reliably
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for managing freight and documentation
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
